Why are Pokemon cards being scalped?
DisbowelingFeel·7 months agoScalpers target Pokemon cards because they're super popular and can be sold for a lot more than their retail price. It's all about supply and demand. When a new set drops, everyone's trying to grab the rarest cards, which means they're willing to pay big bucks. Scalpers buy up as much stock as they can to sell it back at inflated prices.

Honestly, because they can. ?♂️
It's the hype! Limited editions, shiny holographics, and the chance of pulling a card worth hundreds keeps everyone hunting. Scalpers see this as an opportunity to make a quick profit. Always been a problem in the collectibles market, not just Pokemon.
