Strangers pop up in Words with Friends because the game pairs you up with random opponents if you don't have enough friends playing.

It's all part of the fun! When there aren't enough friends to match with, the game randomly assigns you to other players to keep the action going.

Blame the matchmaking system! It auto-pairs you with random folks if your friends list is running low on active players.

If you're a Words with Friends player looking for extra coins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Words with Friends essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
