Well, it's mainly because the original 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist anime deviated from the manga due to its incomplete status at the time. So, they made Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood in 2009 to stay true to the original story!

They made Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood because the fans demanded an adaptation that closely followed the manga. Trust me, it was totally worth it!

The original series was made before the manga was finished. Brotherhood came after to follow the complete story. Two versions, more alchemic action!

Honestly, Brotherhood is the definitive version. Just watch that one.

If you're a Fullmetal Alchemist fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
