Why Are Weaknesses in The Pokemon TCG So Weird?

So, the deal with weaknesses in the Pokemon TCG is kinda like rock-paper-scissors but with more steps. Each Pokemon belongs to a specific type, say Fire, Water, or Grass. It's all about balance and strategy, making sure no one type is too overpowered. So if you're scratching your head wondering why your Fire-type is weak against Water, it's basically the game's way of ensuring there's a way to beat any card, adding a strategic layer to deck building. Plus, it's kinda fun to have these unexpected matchups, makes the game unpredictable!

It's basically for balance. Like, without weaknesses, some types would just steamroll over others and where's the fun in that? Gotta have some challenge!

Honestly, it's a mess. Makes no sense why Electric types are weak to Grass types but hey, that's Pokemon logic for ya. ?‍♂️

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
