From what I've seen, Chainsaw Man can erase devils because his powers come from Pochita, who has that special ability to 'eat' devils out of existence.

Chainsaw Man can erase devils because when Denji consumes them, they vanish completely, leaving no trace behind. It's like they never existed!

Honestly, it's all about Pochita's power. When Denji uses his chainsaw form, he inherits the ability to completely erase devils from reality.

He can erase devils because his chainsaw powers are linked to a unique demonic ability that obliterates anything he defeats, effectively removing them from existence.

No deep lore here, folks. He eats them. They're gone. Simple as that.
