Ah, the mysteries of the gaming world! The original Spyro games are available on PS3 through the PSN as part of the PS1 classics, but they weren't natively updated for PS4. Luckily, Spyro Reignited Trilogy swooped in and brought Spyro to the PS4 with remastered glory!

The PS3 had the original Spyro games via PS1 classics on PSN, but the PS4 focused on new remasters like the Spyro Reignited Trilogy instead of backward compatibility.

Stick to PS4 for the Reignited Trilogy. They didn't add PS1 classics to PS4. Simple as that.

I went through this Spyro saga myself! On PS3, you get the OG Spyro via PS1 classics, but on PS4, you gotta enjoy the shiny remastered Trilogy. I think it鈥檚 worth it!
