Make sure your game is fully updated and you鈥檝e completed any necessary downloads. Story mode is usually locked behind initial requirements!
Honestly, it might be a licensing issue. Are you playing on a different region's account?
Check if you need to finish any tutorial or initial fights. Story mode sometimes gets locked until you do.
Could be a bug. Try restarting your console or reinstalling the game. Worked for me once when I had the same issue!
