Hey there! So, you can't add friends on Steam probably because your account hasn't met the minimum requirement yet. Steam requires you to either make a purchase of $5 or more in the Steam store or add at least $5 to your Steam Wallet. It's their way of fighting spam and phishing. Once you do that, you should be able to add friends!

Might be a simpler issue - check your internet connection! Sometimes it's just a glitch or a temporary server issue on Steam's end. Try again in a little bit.

Your account might be restricted or limited in some way. If you've never bought a game or added funds to your Steam Wallet, that's likely why. Steam's rules, not mine!

Are we sure we even want more friends? Jokes aside, it鈥檚 probably because your account needs to spend at least $5. Small price to pay for friendship, right?

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
