Check if the playlist is collaborative. If it's not, you might need permission from the playlist owner to add songs.

Spotify has a limit of 10,000 songs per playlist. If you're trying to add song number 10,001, it's a no-go!
Sometimes the app glitches. Sign out and sign back in to see if it fixes the issue. Works like magic sometimes!
Make sure you're 'following' the playlist. If you are and it still doesn't work, try restarting the app!
