The Tetris version you have might not support multiplayer challenges. Try checking out other versions like Tetris 99 or Puyo Puyo Tetris!
I had the same issue! Turned out I was on an outdated version. Update your app and you should be good to go!
Not all Tetris games offer friend challenges. Maybe try playing a different Tetris game with multiplayer features.
