Why can't I shoot my LAS-5 'Scythe' in Helldivers?

Ah, the ol' LAS-5 'Scythe' not firing issue, classic! Most times, it's because you're out of ammo or you've accidentally set your weapon to safety mode. Check your ammo count first. If that's not the problem, tap the reload button to toggle the safety off and unleash laser-based doom upon your enemies!

Make sure you haven鈥檛 accidentally disabled it or something. I remember doing that once and couldn鈥檛 figure out why it wouldn鈥檛 shoot for a whole mission. Felt pretty silly when I realized what was up.

Just shoot it lol. But for real, check your ammo. No ammo, no pew pew.

Could be a glitch? Try restarting the game or your console/PC. If that doesn't work, might need to reinstall. Helldivers can be quirky sometimes but nothing that a good restart won鈥檛 fix!

If you're a Helldivers player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
