Why Can't Subnautica Inventory Stack?
Basically, it's part of the survival aspect of the game. Managing space makes you more thoughtful about what you really need.

Subnautica items often don't stack to keep the game more challenging and force players to think strategically about inventory management.
It's a gameplay decision to increase difficulty and realism. Imagine stacking submarines!
They *do* stack, just not as much as you'd like. Some items (like food and water) do stack, but not most crafted or large items.
