Because why jump when you can ride a space train? Honkai Star Rail is more about the story and strategy, not parkour!
Honestly, it's a game design choice. Adding jumping would change the game's whole vibe and complicate things. It's better off without it.
No jumping? Literally unplayable. Jk, it's actually for the best. Keeps the focus on the tactical gameplay and epic storyline.
