From what I've read, the production team wanted to align the anime more closely with the manga and needed extra time for that. Plus, great things take time, right?

Honestly, it seemed like an eternity, but it was worth it. They wanted to avoid low-quality episodes and filler arcs, so they waited for more manga material.

The wait for season 2 felt endless! The delay was primarily due to the creators wanting to ensure top-notch animation quality and pacing. They also waited for the manga to get further ahead to avoid filler episodes.

It took long cuz they needed to avoid catching up too quickly to the manga. Patience paid off!

Simple: They didn't want to rush it and end up with a subpar product. Quality over quantity, y'know?
