Boruto saw Momoshiki because of the Karma seal left on him after their fight. This seal allows Momoshiki to occasionally manifest and communicate with Boruto.

Momoshiki appears to Boruto due to the Karma seal he implanted in Boruto after their battle. It's kind of like having a really persistent ghost roommate.

From what we've seen, the Karma seal lets Momoshiki show up and cause drama whenever he pleases!

It's the Karma seal, folks. Simple as that.

In the battle with Momoshiki, Boruto ended up with the Karma seal, which sometimes causes Momoshiki to appear to him. It's a ninja's worst nightmare!
