Legal pressures from Toei Animation and other rights holders over the years made it increasingly difficult to continue producing DBZ Abridged.
TFS announced they were emotionally and creatively exhausted from the series and wanted to pursue new content.
Honestly, the creators just wanted to end on a high note rather than risk running out of steam. Better to finish strong!
