Epic Games tried to dodge the 30% cut that Apple and Google take by introducing their own payment system within the app. This led to the app getting removed from both stores in August 2020.

Fortnite Mobile got removed because Epic Games bypassed Apple and Google's payment systems, which violated their policies.

Fortnite got booted off the Apple and Google app stores back in August 2020 because Epic Games added a direct payment option, bypassing the typical 30% fee these stores charge. Apple and Google weren't having it, so they kicked Fortnite to the curb!

Blame it on the money! Epic Games gave players a way to pay directly, avoiding the app store fees. Apple and Google said, 'Nope,' and removed Fortnite.

If you're a Fortnite player looking for extra v-bucks, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Fortnite gift card, which you can win and use to get v-bucks essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
