High School DxD changed its art style in Season 4, known as High School DxD Hero, to more closely align with the character designs from the light novels. Gotta keep it fresh, right?

The switch in art style happened with High School DxD Hero when the animation studio changed from TNK to Passione. Every studio's gotta put their own spin on it!

In Season 4, High School DxD underwent an art style change to stay true to the light novel illustrations, resulting in a fresher and more authentic look.

Simple – new studio, new look. Passione took over and they brought their own flavor to it.
