Simple - Studio DEEN handled the first two seasons, but then J.C. Staff took over for the movie. Changes like this happen all the time in the anime world!

Studio swaps aren't uncommon. J.C. Staff took over for the KONOSUBA movie to bring a fresh take and skillset to the table.

Honestly, they switched studios for the movie because J.C. Staff was probably better equipped to handle the production at that time.

From personal experience, studio changes can result in a different animation style but the essence of KONOSUBA's humor and charm stays intact.

If you're a KONOSUBA fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
