Software glitches can cause random shutdowns. Make sure your software is up-to-date. Sometimes, a restart or system update can fix the problem.

Your PS4 might鈥檝e turned off randomly due to overheating. Make sure the vents aren鈥檛 blocked and clean out any dust. Trust me, a quick clean can work wonders!

Power issues could be the culprit. Try checking the power cord and outlet. Maybe it's time for a new surge protector?

It鈥檚 possible that your PS4 is having hardware issues. If you鈥檝e tried everything and it鈥檚 still happening, contact Sony support.

Both overheating and power issues are common. I had the same problem and a thorough cleaning plus a new power cord fixed it!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
