Back in the day, the game designers probably aimed for quicker, more streamlined battles. Lower health means each match doesn't drag out too long. Plus, it's all about the balance. With fewer hit points, players had to strategize more about when to attack or hold back, making the game more exciting.

Old cards reflect the early stage of the game where balance was different. Simple as that.

Power creep, my friend! As the game evolved, so did the Pokemon, literally and figuratively. Newer sets introduced stronger Pokemon with more health to keep the game fresh and competitive. It's just how trading card games roll.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
