Blame it on a different team of animators. Happens more often than you'd think!

When Tokyo Ghoul:re came out, the animation studio opted for a different art style to reflect the manga's evolving tone and themes. It's all about those artistic vibes!

Hey, it's just evolution baby! The art changes to match the story's progression. Deal with it.

The art style in Tokyo Ghoul changed mainly due to a new animation studio taking over for Tokyo Ghoul:re. Studio Pierrot handled both seasons, but a different team within the studio led the visual shift. Gotta keep things fresh, I guess!

If you're a Tokyo Ghoul fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
