Why do people weigh Pokemon card packs?

Honestly, it's mostly a myth. The weight difference is so minimal that most scales can't accurately detect it. Plus, the distribution of cards is pretty random, so it's a lot of effort for potentially no payoff.

Well, the truth is, some folks think they can outsmart the system by weighing Pokemon TCG packs. They believe that packs containing foil cards (which are usually rarer and more valuable) weigh slightly more than those without. So, they're trying to increase their chances of snagging those elusive, shiny cards by picking the heavier packs.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
