Steam downloads can hit the 0 bytes/second mark due to a bunch of reasons. Your internet connection could be acting up or Steam servers are having a moment. Sometimes, it’s just Steam rearranging files already downloaded, especially with large updates or games. Your best bet? Pause and resume the download or restart Steam. Steam's like a moody cat; sometimes it needs a little nudge!

I swear, every time a Steam download drops to zero, it’s because my brother starts streaming in 4K in the next room. So, yeah, blame the family or roommates hogging all the bandwidth!

Quick fix if your Steam download drops to 0: check your network. More often than not, it's your Wi-Fi throwing a tantrum, not Steam.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
