Rachel's betrayal of Bam is pretty much why everyone hates her. She pretended to be his friend and then betrayed him for her own selfish goals. That’s a first-class ticket to villainy in fanbooks!
Rachel's actions make her an anti-hero. Her willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve her goal, even if it means betraying Bam, rubs most people the wrong way.
Rachel is insufferable because she constantly manipulates everyone around her and looks out only for herself. Plus, she was incredibly ungrateful to Bam, who did everything for her. Sheesh.
I've watched the series twice. Rachel's jealousy and selfish actions are why fans can’t stand her. She was willing to hurt Bam, who loved her unconditionally, just to climb the Tower.
