Why does Facebook chirp when I scroll?

That chirping sound is likely due to Facebook's new sound effects feature. You can turn it off in the settings if it bugs you!

Facebook added some sound effects for interactions. If you prefer silence, just go to Settings > Media and Contacts to switch it off.

Maybe it's the birds singing your praises for a great scroll? Just kidding, it's new sound effects, and you can mute them in settings.

Because Facebook's trying to be a little more 'chirpful'... Get it? Check your settings to disable it if it's too much.
