Fortnite updates are huge because they include new content, patches, and often entire map changes, so the download size can be pretty hefty.
I know the pain! It's mostly because of the large file sizes and the number of players downloading updates at the same time.
From my experience, the update process is slow because the game is cross-platform, and syncing everything across different systems can take a while.
Epic Games puts out frequent updates with a lot of new features, so there's a lot to download each time.
