GeoGuessr started charging to cover the costs of Google Maps usage and to support continuous development of the game. Trust me, it's worth every penny!

They probably need the funds to keep the game running smoothly and to add new features. Quality ain't free!

I've been playing GeoGuessr since the beginning. They had to start charging because the cost of using Google Maps API skyrocketed. It makes sense if you think about it.

Because good things come with a price tag sometimes! Gotta keep those servers running and the maps fresh!

GeoGuessr needs to charge now to maintain quality and create new content. They use Google Maps which isn't free.

If you're a GeoGuessr player looking for extra credit or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in GeoGuessr essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
