If Messenger is showing 'Facebook User' instead of a name, it's usually because the person has deactivated their account. You'll still see messages but no profile details.

That happens when the user has either deactivated or deleted their Facebook account. They aren't taking a break from you, just Facebook!

I've seen this when my friend deactivated his account. His name vanished but our chat history is still there.
