Check your internet connection. Make sure it's stable and strong. Fortnite can be pretty picky when it comes to weak wifi.

This happens when you or someone in your party cancels matchmaking. Communicate with your squad to avoid this!
Happened to me too! Turned out I was in a different matchmaking region. Changing it back fixed the issue.
