Your PS5 might be downloading slowly due to a poor internet connection. Try restarting your router or connecting via Ethernet for a more stable connection.

My PS5 downloads were super slow until I moved it closer to my Wi-Fi router. Walls and distance can really mess with your signal.

Sometimes, PlayStation Network (PSN) server issues can cause slow downloads. Check the [PSN Service Status](https://status.playstation.com/) to see if there are any outages.

Hot take: Download speeds aren't always about your setup. Sometimes, Sony's servers just get overloaded with traffic, especially during big game releases!

If you have multiple devices using the same network, bandwidth gets divided. Try pausing other downloads and streams to speed things up.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
