Make sure Steam isn't set to limit your download speed. Go to Steam > Settings > Downloads and check if there's a limit set. Sometimes we forget we set these limits!

Steam might be slow because of a high traffic volume, especially during big sales or game releases. Your internet connection could also be the culprit. Try restarting your router or connect via Ethernet for a more stable speed. Don't forget to check if Steam's servers are overloaded - they have a status page you can look at!

It's your ISP's fault, not Steam's. A lot of ISPs throttle gaming and streaming services. Try using a VPN to see if your download speed improves.

lol, it's probably because your siblings are streaming Netflix in 4K in the next room. Try downloading games at night when everyone's asleep, works like a charm for me.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
