Your PlayStation downloading at a snail's pace? Try switching to a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi. It's like putting your console on the information superhighway!

Hot take: Sony's servers aren't built for speed! Try downloading games during off-peak hours.

Sometimes the PSN (PlayStation Network) servers get busy, especially during big game releases or updates. Patience, young padawan.

My PS4 used to crawl with download speeds until I changed the DNS settings. Use Google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or another fast DNS provider.

Make sure your router isn't playing hide and seek with your console. Position them as close together as possible for better speeds.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
