Could be an overheating issue. Try letting your iPad cool down before playing. My iPad Air had this problem.

It might be a software issue! Make sure your iOS is up to date and try reinstalling the game. Worked for me!

Try closing all other apps and restarting your iPad before launching PUBG Mobile. Sometimes it's just running out of memory.
