Steam goes down for maintenance every Tuesday. It's like giving your PC a little spa day, but for Steam's servers to ensure they're running smoothly. They pick Tuesday probably because it's the least disruptive day for gamers, kinda like choosing the least busy day to clean the house!

Short answer: Maintenance. Every online service needs it unless you want it to go poof in the middle of your gaming marathon!

Actually, it's mostly for routine maintenance, but I've noticed it's also when they roll out updates or fixes. Kinda like hitting two birds with one stone, keeping everything up-to-date and running smooth. I've been gaming on Steam for years, and Tuesday downtimes are pretty much clockwork.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
