Why does Steam take so long to open?
SinkingDuel路7 months agoSo Steam's like that slow-cooking pot roast, it's worth the wait but kinda tests your patience, right? The main reasons why it might be slow to open could be because your PC is running on an older HDD instead of an SSD, Steam is updating itself or your game library in the background, or there's just a whole lot of clutter in your Steam folder needing a tidy up. A good spring clean or moving Steam to an SSD can make a world of difference!

Steam slow? Welcome to the club. Mine's like a sleepy sloth but gets there eventually. Try limiting startup programs on your PC. Made a decent difference for me.
Honestly, I think it's just designed to test our patience. But seriously, if you've got a ton of games installed, it's gonna take its sweet time sorting through all of them. Keep your library clean and your patience level high!
IDK everyone says it's slow but mine pops right open? Maybe it's about having a good PC setup or just getting lucky lol
