Teardown crashes could also be caused by mods that aren't playing nice. Try disabling them to see if that helps.
Your PC might not meet the system requirements for Teardown. Double-check the specs and see if you need an upgrade.
Mine stopped crashing after I reduced the graphics settings. Might not look as pretty, but at least it runs!
