MTG Arena doesn't have Commander because it's primarily focused on the more recent sets and standard play formats. Commander, being a format that uses cards from the entire history of Magic, would require a massive amount of older cards to be coded into the game. Plus, the Commander format's multiplayer aspect is another layer of complexity that the current state of Arena isn't designed to handle.

Coding every single MTG card for Arena would be a Herculean task! Not to mention, the UI would need a total overhaul to fit Commander's multiplayer chaos. It's just not feasible right now.

Honestly, they just need to figure it out. Commander is the best format and Arena is missing out big time.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
