Why doesn't Team Fortress have any female characters?
Valve probably didn't add female characters to keep the retro, military theme consistent with what they had in mind. Although, a few female characters would have been a blast!

Laziness? Maybe. But if you want female characters, there are some great community mods that add them in.
Maybe Valve thought the existing roster was just too perfect to mess with! But who knows, we might get some in a future update?
I think Valve just went with the classic characters they developed early on and stuck to them. Modding community has got your back though!
