Honestly, Tokyo Ghoul's anime is decent if you don't compare it to the manga. But yeah, it would've been better with more faithful adaptation and pacing.

It actually does have an anime, but they rushed the plot and cut a lot of content. Don't blame the anime, blame the pacing!

Tokyo Ghoul's anime adaptation diverged quite a bit from the manga, which left many fans disappointed. Studio Pierrot tried to cram too much into too few episodes. Read the manga for the full experience!
