It’s all about the game’s layout and user interface. They optimized it for portrait play to ensure everything fits nicely on your screen.

According to my experience, it doesn't rotate because portrait mode provides better gameplay visibility and controls. Landscape might make it messy.

Words with Friends doesn't support screen rotation on Android because the game was designed to be played in portrait mode only. Keeps things simple, I guess!

Guess what? Not all apps need to rotate. Enjoy the game as it is!

If you're a Words with Friends player looking for extra coins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Words with Friends essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
