British tanks in War Thunder mainly use AP (armor-piercing) shells because historically, they focused on penetrating enemy armor rather than causing explosions. It's all about making sure the shell gets through those tough tanks!

The lack of explosive ammo on British tanks is a nod to history, where penetration power was more important. Who needs explosions when you can punch through armor like it's paper?

Chenille_sweater: Honestly, it's because the British designers focused on AP rounds to deal with heavily armored threats more effectively. Explosive ammo just wasn't their style.

Because the Brits preferred tea over fireworks! Seriously though, it鈥檚 just historical accuracy. The British army focused more on ammo that could penetrate tough armor.
