Personally, I loved it! But I can see how Kirito's OP abilities might make the story less thrilling for some. Different strokes for different folks!

Hey, to each their own! If SAO isn鈥檛 your cup of tea, maybe it鈥檚 the pacing or character development. Give it another shot, or find another series that suits your taste!

Hot take: Sword Art Online is overrated. There, I said it.

As a huge SAO fan, I think maybe you didn't connect with the characters. I've found Kirito's journey absolutely gripping, but I get that it鈥檚 not universal.

I get it. Sometimes the plot twists and romantic subplots can be a bit much. But hey, not every show is for everyone. Maybe try another genre?

If you're a Sword Art Online fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
