Check your internet connection first - sometimes it's as simple as your WiFi acting up. If that's fine, make sure your PS4 system software and the game itself are both updated to their latest versions. Apex Legends gets frequent updates, so missing one might cause issues. It's not the game, it's your PS4. Try other games and see if they're running fine. If everything's lagging or not starting, it might be time to clean your console or check for hardware issues.
Honestly, just delete and reinstall the game. It's a pain, but sometimes it's the only way to fix weird issues that pop up out of nowhere.
