Dragon Ball Z isn't in the Big 3 because the Big 3 term was coined later for Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach, which dominated Shōnen Jump after Dragon Ball ended.

Big 3? More like the OG! Dragon Ball set the stage for Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach to even exist.

Dragon Ball Z was already a legendary series when the Big 3 concept emerged, so it kind of transcends that category. It's in a league of its own.

The Big 3 refers to a specific era of manga in the 2000s, and Dragon Ball Z was more of an 80s and 90s phenomenon.
