Plus, if you're installing it with additional DLCs, that's even more data to write onto your hard disk or SSD. Make sure you've got a stable and fast internet connection. If it's still slow, your PC might be running other heavy tasks in the background, so try closing other applications to speed things up!

Honestly, it just be like that sometimes. Fallout 4 is huge, and if you're downloading it on an iffy internet connection, you might as well go watch a movie or something. It's not the game; it's your net. Grab some snacks.
If Fallout 4 is taking forever to install, check your system's hard drive. If it's almost full, things are gonna crawl. Make space or consider installing on an SSD for faster speeds. Worked for me when I moved it to my SSD – game changer!
