Make sure your game is fully updated. Sometimes bugs are fixed in patches, so just hit that update button!

My Creative mode wasn't working because of a corrupted file. Reinstalling the game did the trick for me.

Check if the Fortnite servers are down. You can do this by visiting Epic Games' status page or social media.
