Why is GTA San Andreas not on Steam?

Rockstar launched their own launcher and prefers to sell it there. It's all about keeping that sweet, sweet revenue in-house rather than sharing it with other platforms like Steam. Plus, it gives them more control over their game and updates.

Rockstar's just playing hard to get. They took San Andreas off Steam so we'd miss it more. Jokes aside, it's mainly because they've updated versions and prefer selling through their own channels now.

GTA San Andreas got yanked from Steam because Rockstar updated it with the remastered versions. They want you on the latest and greatest, which means nudging you towards the new platforms where they have more control and, yup, more profit.

Dunno about you, but I miss the days when you could grab any game on Steam. Now, it's like a treasure hunt across different launchers. *sigh*

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
