I had the same issue. Editing your photos before uploading them can give you more control over the final look.
It could be the filter you鈥檙e using. Some filters automatically adjust brightness, so maybe try uploading without one and see if it helps!
Honestly, Instagram just thinks it knows better. Turn off auto-enhance and show 'em who's boss.
