Mendeleev named it 'periodic' because the properties of the elements just keep repeating periodically. Simple as that!

The name comes from the periodic (repeating) nature of the properties of the elements when they are arranged by increasing atomic number.

It's called the Periodic Table because it organizes elements into periods (rows) and shows recurring (periodic) chemical properties. Thanks, Mendeleev!

Because it's like a giant superhero team-up of elements, grouped by their recurring superpowers. Who doesn't love a good periodic battle?
